The day begins with a scenic drive through the green expanse of the Adelaide Hills. Stop at the Big Rocking Horse, one of the world's largest, and the amazing Whispering Wall, a reservoir retaining wall with breathtaking panoramic views. Arrive at the renowned Jacob's Creek winery for your first winetasting. With enthusiastic wine merchants, tour the visitor center, learn the brand's history, and sip an unforgettable glass of the wine itself.
Next, visit Kies Family Wines, a small boutique establishment with vintage, ironstone cellar doors. Taste a selection of wines while the tour guide prepares lunch. Then sit down to a barbecue extravaganza that includes an Aussie specialty—marinated kangaroo. From here, head to Richmond Grove, a picturesque winery set on the banks of the North Para River.
Finish the tour with a trip to Mengler Hill, a popular lookout, to admire sweeping views across the entire valley. Return to Adelaide satisfied and having truly experienced the charming Barossa Valley.
