Explore the market town of Taroudant, also known as Little Marrakech. See its red ramparts that surround colorful gardens with tiny souks, and experience the Berber way of city life. Also, explore exotic plantations and stop for brunch at a local farm along the way.
Your tour begins with a scenic drive through the fertile Souss Valley. Along the way, observe goats as they nimbly scuttle in the upper branches of the famous Argan trees. Make a brief stop and admire the views of vibrant banana and citrus fruit manors set against the backdrop of the glorious High Atlas Mountains—a perfect photo opportunity. Visit a Soussi farm for a local brunch of freshly squeezed orange juice, mint tea, and Moroccan pastries.
Continue your journey to Taroudant, a attentive town with a predominantly Berber population. After your guide leads you past the red walled 11th-century ramparts and 5 monumental gates (Babs), listen to the intriguing history of this city. Then head into the maze of narrow streets that take you to the busy square of Place Assarag in the heart of the city.
