Leave the traditional tourist trail behind to meet a fervent local sculptor and join him in his workshop to create a piece of art. Explore the side streets of the Poblenou district and hear snippets of local history before picking up the skills and techniques required to craft a sculpture.

Meet your attentive guide, local resident Antoni Yranzo, in Poblenou—a sizeable neighborhood of Barcelona. While you walk together to his workshop, his passion for the local area shines through as he provides intriguing local history, such as the integral role the nearby textile factory—Can Saladrigas—played in creating the area's vibrant community.

In Atoni's workshop, get the creative juices flowing as he introduces the task for the class. You all lend a hand in forming a piece of art based on the “Otoko” character. Once the piece is completed, a raffle is drawn to determine who takes the piece home. Before that, your work is immortalized with a photograph and added to a catalogue of the workshop's collection.
