Description:

Bundle up and embark on a cruise up the mighty Hudson River as you travel through a wonderland of fall foliage to picturesque Bear Mountain. Leaving from a dock on Manhattan’s west side, your tour takes you away from the city and into the brilliant autumnal colors of upstate New York.

Board your vessel and head north, watching the skyscrapers drift by as you chug underneath the George Washington Bridge. Slowly, the scenery changes from that of a massive metropolis to one of tree-lined riverbanks and farmhouses.

Grab a beverage or snacks, available at the boat’s bar, and wait for the silhouette of Bear Mountain to appear. When you arrive, disembark and begin wandering a network of 50 different hiking trails, covered in gold and crimson leaves. If you’re lucky, make your way toward the smell of grilled bratwurst—Oktoberfest is celebrated every Saturday during October.

When the festivities are over and you’ve fully explored the maze of nature walks, return to the boat and enjoy a scenic ride back to the city’s twinkling lights.
