Day 1:
Meet your fully trained guide and fellow adventure-seekers on Lopez Island for a briefing and overview of your trip. Once you’ve packed your vessel and gotten the lowdown on how to use your kayak, take to the waters for a 2–3-hour paddle to James Island. As you cruise along the serene waters, enjoy views of the coastline before arriving at your destination and setting up camp.

Unwind at camp and tuck into a meal prepared by your guides. Dine on the beach, get to know your group, and gaze up at the night sky before getting some rest.

Day 2:
Wake up to a freshly prepared breakfast, fuel for your day of activities. Explore the coastal environment of James Island with an organized scavenger hunt and a hike to a scenic viewpoint. After a morning of escapades, enjoy some time on the beach, scouring tidal pools for local sea life like starfish, limpets, and clams.

Throughout your day, your guides entertain you with interesting island history and facts about the area’s natural features. After lunch, spend time exploring at your leisure or simply take a break before your 2.5-mile (4-km) paddle back to Lopez Island.
