Spend a day at Brisbane's Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, home to more than 130 koalas—alongside kangaroos, dingoes, wombats, and many other native animals all in natural settings.

Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary—officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, so make sure to pet a cuddly koala.

Wander the grounds and hand feed kangaroos and emus. Then, come face to face with crocodiles and snakes, and if you dare, you may even be able to hold one.

Be entertained by the Australian Outback farm experience and Sheep Dog and Sheep Shearing Show. Watch the dogs use their amazing sheep-herding expertise, and observe shearers as they skillfully shear the wool off sheep.

Next, watch the Bird of Prey Free Flight Show. In the afternoon, stop by the Platypus House and see the unique platypus in captivity. Before leaving the sanctuary, get up close and hand feed the many colorful wild lorikeets.
