Every 3 years, cat lovers from around the world unite in the quaint town of Ypres for Kattenstoet—a festival dedicated to the much-loved species. Enjoy a thrilling day in Belgium, witnessing the streets come to life with cat costumes, giant cat floats, and a multitude of cat-related festivities.

Depart from the Paris city center and meet your Japanese-speaking Assistant Guide, who is on hand to help you through your European adventure. Begin your scenic drive through the winery-dotted French landscape toward Ypres, located in the west of charming Belgium. Immediately feel the exciting atmosphere as 40,000 cat fans gather together.

Fuel up with a delicious lunch before walking through the Flemish town that flourished as a center for the wool industry in the Middle Ages. Watch lively local residents who've donned their best cat outfits. See them scurry to the streets as the parade begins. Look around to see huge stuffed cat floats, kids paying homage to the musical Cats, and the pinnacle of the parade, the marching Minneke Poes.
