Description:

Walk in the footsteps of Argentina's soccer legends at La Bombonera to learn about the beloved Boca Juniors. Then, visit the arena of their archrivals River Plate at El Monumental, Argentina's largest stadium. Discover the history of the country's soccer giants in their respective museums.

Begin your tour at Boca's Estadio Alberto J. Armando stadium, better known as La Bombonera (the Chocolate Box) because of its shape. Check out the stands where Argentinean fans, nicknamed “La Doce,” fill the seats and cheer on the blue and gold.

The Boca Juniors were founded more than a century ago; learn about the amateur era and the club's rise to international fame as you check out the relics, trophies, photos, and uniforms on display at the Museo de la Pasión Boquense. There's even a specially commissioned blue and gold guitar played by Lenny Kravitz when he performed here, as well as a Hall of Fame and a mural of Diego Maradona.

Next, cross central Buenos Aires to the Estadio Antonio Vespucio Liberti, known as El Monumental. The current home of Los Millonarios of River Plate has the highest capacity in Argentina. It's also famous for hosting the 1978 FIFA World Cup final, won by the home team. Conclude this memorable tour at the Museo River, admiring the impressive collection of trophies and awards.
