Description:

Take a day trip to Byron Bay—Australia’s premier resort town. Relax on the beach, stroll past the shops and cafes, take in panoramic views from the famous lighthouse, and visit Tropical Fruit World.

Hop aboard a comfy coach, and travel south along the coast to New South Wales. Arrive at the seaside town of Byron Bay, and visit the Cape Byron Lighthouse. This lighthouse marks the most easterly point of the Australian continent. Enjoy sweeping views over the ocean and coastline.

Around midday, spend time exploring the lovely galleries and boutiques of Byron Bay. Take a coffee break in one of their cute cafes (at your own expense), or take a break on the beach, where you can watch the surfers in action. If you are lucky, you can spot turtles, dolphins, and humpback whales (depending on the season) as they head up the coast on their annual migration.

In the afternoon, your tour continues to the Tropical Fruit World, a farm growing more than 500 varieties of tropical fruits from around the world. Experience the fruit-tasting show, or indulge in some fresh-fruit ice cream at the renowned Rainforest Café (at your own expense). Delight in rare, exotic fruits such as the chocolate pudding fruit, chewing gum tree, and lemon meringue fruit before your coach takes you back to your Gold Coast hotel.
