Description:
Venture into Cappadocia's lush Red Valley to explore the region's finest wine while admiring the charming landscapes. Visit one of the famous local wineries and learn first-hand about how wine is produced there. End with a sampling just in time for the sunset.
Set out for a drive to Cappadocia's outskirts in the direction of a local winery. Sample a variety of Turkish wines and learn about the differences between each one and its production before seeing the unique place where they're stored—in containers in the nearby caves, as opposed to typical wooden barrels.
As the sun begins to set, continue to Kizilcukur and admire the Byzantine rock tombs, cave churches, fairy chimneys, and of course the unique rock formations of the Red Valley. Stop for a unique view of the valley with the sunset in the background, and then enjoy a Turkish snack or sip on some more wine as the sun goes down before returning to your hotel.
