Description:

Journey to the San Juan archipelago—known for its incredible wildlife and natural landscapes—on a full-day private tour that showcases the region’s abundant treasures.

Board an adventure-outfitted Mercedes van or luxury SUV with a knowledgeable naturalist guide and set off into the verdant Skagit Valley. Take a scenic ferry ride from Anacortes through some of the region’s 743 islands and disembark at charming Friday Harbor.

Continue on a cross-island drive and arrive at Roche Harbor. From there, embark on a private 3-hour kayak excursion along the rugged coastline of Haro Strait. Enjoy dramatic views of the Olympic Mountains and keep an eye out for wildlife such as harbor seals, bald eagles, river otters, and resident pods of orcas.

Next, venture to Lighthouse Park for a picnic lunch and glass of wine. As you eat, look out for the magnificent orcas at one of the state's best whale-watching locations. If time permits, learn about the area’s fascinating history with a visit to the American and British Pig War camps. Triggered by the shooting of a pig, the war was a territory dispute between the United States and British Empire.

Top off your day tour with a stop at either the San Juan Island Winery or the Pelindaba Lavender Farm.
