Hamilton Island may look like a tranquil paradise, but there's plenty of adrenaline-pumping fun to be head for thrill-seekers looking for a rush. Zip around a racetrack in a go-kart, whip across the waves in a high-speed jet boat, and spend the afternoon exploring the best the island has to offer.
Step aboard your cruise boat for a peaceful ride through the Whitsundays before your exciting adventure begins. Arrive at the Hamilton Island Marina and hop on a local shuttle to be whisked off the Palm Valley go-kart racetrack. Slam the pedal to the metal in a white-knuckled speed competition as you try to pass and loop your fellow racers to be first across the finish line.
From the track, head to the shore, strap on a lifejacket, and grab a seat for a breakneck thrill ride on the Jetryder speed boat. Hold on tight as the boat twists, turns, fishtails, and flies over the clear blue waters beyond the beach.
Refuel with a bite to eat at Marina Tavern—the laidback spot is the perfect place to grab fresh fish and chips or pub-style dishes on the outdoor deck.
After lunch, the afternoon is yours to enjoy the other activities available on the island. Take a towel down to Catseye Beach to recover from your thrilling morning with a nap in the sun and a dip in the sea.
