Meet your guide and begin the morning at Possession Point—the infamous spot where British forces formally claimed control of Hong Kong in 1841. Continue to the fascinating Dr. Sun Yat-sen Historic Trail. Its namesake revolutionary leader—and founding father of the Republic of China—held secret meetings here to plot the overthrow of the corrupt Qing dynasty.

Next, head to Victoria City, named after Queen Victoria, to peek into the stately Central Police Station. Now a heritage site, this compound used to house the city’s top officials. For a glimpse of old Hong Kong, walk down the Duddell Street Steps, flanked by the last 4 remaining gas lamps in the city.
