In a local village, learn about the traditions of a popular form of entertainment in Indonesia—wayang kulit puppetry. Craft your own version of the leather puppets before having the chance to put on your own show, exploreing how to use the light and shadows that typifies this form of theater.

Begin your excursion in the historic neighborhood of Kotogede. Admire the traditional Indonesian architecture of former royal residences that are centuries old, as well as newer styles that were influenced by the colonial era.
