Grab a snorkel and a boogie board and set out to visit a little-known coral reef for a snorkeling experience that’s way off the tourist track. A marine biologist leads you on this eco-attentive tour, scoping out turtles and fish in the fragile and captivating underwater environment.
Your small-group outing begins with an interactive and informative slide show, which gives you information on the various corals that comprise Hawaii’s fascinating reef systems as well as the colorful fish and sea creatures that call them home. Gain insight on the behaviors and characteristics of tropical marine life so you know what you’re seeing once you’re out under the waves.
When you're ready to go, don your snorkel gear and head out into the water, skimming the surface while you look for gentle green sea turtles, vibrant schools of fish, and delicate clusters of coral gardens that fill the peaceful and serene world of the sea bed.
This tour is about more than just seeing fish, though there’s plenty of that, too. You also learn how to care for and respect the ocean as you explore it, and explore ongoing conservation efforts during a Q&A session with an expert biologist.
