Description:

On this hiking experience, explore the diverse natural landscapes of the Sierra Blanca mountains. A passionate local leads the way, sharing knowledge of the area and different paths to hike. Take in the evergreen views of oak, olive, and pine trees, as well as sights reaching as far as Africa.

After meeting up with your local guide and discussing potential routes, set out among forests of cork oaks, whose wood is used to make wine corks. Appreciate the expansive natural beauty of the verdant evergreens as your guide provides background on the area's vegetation and history. Hike through an olive grove and pass through a withered pine forest.

After zigzagging to the top of the hill, choose between 2 paths: To the right is a 3-hour trail to Concha, and to the left, a 1-hour route to Cross Jane. Either way, take some time to admire the far-reaching views from your vantage point, from which you can see Africa and the glittering Costa del Sol.

After a good break, start your descent along the east side of the mountains, admiring another stunning landscape as you meander your way down to base camp.
