Journey up into the hills, away from the tourist resorts and beaches and into the striking scenery of the northern coast of Mallorca, which contains part of the Serra de Tamuntana—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today is more adventurous than your average stroll in the hills: Scramble over rocky trails and trek down challenging paths as you negotiate the demanding terrain.
At this altitude, you are in a fantastic position to enjoy sweeping vistas of the coast. On clear days, pick out the Formentor Peninsula and perhaps even neighboring Menorca. Once you've completed the trek, head into the canyon for the day's true test: an exhilarating abseil into the heart of one of its chasms. Hear the echoes bouncing off the surrounding rock as you rappel down to explore this vast cave naturally formed over millennia.
