Description:
On an exhilarating small-group rafting trip, explore Lanai’s marine life and rugged coastline. Only 7 miles (11 km) from Maui, Lanai’s unspoiled beauty and remote snorkel locations are only a short boat ride away, and this morning adventure comes complete with breakfast and lunch onboard.
From Lahaina Harbor, zip across the Au’au Channel between Maui and Lani on Ocean Adventurer—a high-tech vessel with a rigid, channeled fiberglass hull that cuts through the waves for a remarkably smooth ride. The boat offers shaded forward-facing seats as well as pontoon-style seats along the side for a more thrilling journey. An onboard bathroom, freshwater shower, and a swim platform makes this a raft trip well equipped with comfortable amenities.
Blowholes, red rock sea cliffs, unspoiled beaches, caves, and arches are just some of the natural wonders found along this remote coastline. The captain stops at least 2 different places and ensures ample water-time so you can explore the vibrant reefs teeming with marine life. An easy in-and-out access platform ensures smooth entry into the warm Pacific Ocean.
In the water, a marine naturalist takes you on an optional guided tour of the reef and points out common fish and other marine life. Back onboard, a boxed lunch is served up for your enjoyment, and it comes with fresh fruits, chips, and chocolate chip cookies. Refreshments are also available throughout the trip.
If conditions allow, the captain circumnavigates the island. While speeding across the azure waters, keep your eyes peeled for resident dolphins such as spinner and bottlenose dolphins.
