After you're picked up from your hotel, ride to La Cave, a wine shop located just steps from the white sands of Anse Vata. You're greeted by an enthusiastic sommelier who spent his childhood among the vineyards in the famed French winegrowing region of Bordeaux. Take a seat and listen in as he leads you through a tasting of 4 or 5 different wines, tailoring the tasting to your preferences.
Learn about the viticultural methods and techniques of different winegrowing regions as you swirl and sip wines that range from crisp whites to full-bodied reds. As you taste, nibble on a platter of meats and cheeses, all carefully selected to enhance the flavors of each wine. When your tasting is complete, spend some time checking out the wine selection in the shop. You may just find a new favorite bottle or 2 to enjoy during the rest of your time on the island.
