Description:
Head to Kualoa Ranch and journey through the world-famous valley of Kaaawa, where more than 50 Hollywood blockbuster movies and television shows have been filmed—an area known as the “Hawaii backlot.”
Established in 1850, Kualoa is a 4,000-acre working cattle ranch stretching from steep mountain cliffs to the sparkling sea. Located on the northeastern side of Oahu in the Hawaiian countryside, it's just 22 miles from Honolulu. The ranch terrain varies from dense rainforest to broad open valleys, and from charming white-sand beaches to verdant cliff faces. It's truly a paradise for outdoor recreation.
If the views look familiar, it's because Kualoa has been the site of many television shows and Hollywood films. So many, in fact, that it's become known as Hollywood's “Hawaii backlot.” On this tour you get an up close and personal view of backdrops from movies like Godzilla, Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, 50 First Dates, Pearl Harbor, and many more.
After your tour into the valley, you visit an authentic World War II bunker containing even more movie memorabilia, artifacts, and exhibits.
