Description:

Travel to the village of Lethe for a breathtaking guided ride aboard a bamboo raft to see the charming wildlife and landscapes of Jamaica's river valleys. Your day also includes a chance to sample some of the local products that the country is famous for and an introduction to the take a breaked local life.

Your first stop on the tour is at the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, where you can sample some of the various flavors the factory churns out daily. Your driver then takes you through the interior of the island to Lethe, where your raft captain helps you aboard a 30-foot (9-m) bamboo vessel that waits to take you down the Great River.

As your raft drifts through the amazing gorges of the river valley, your captain is there to point out the various flora and fauna you pass along the way. Disembark, catch a hay ride to a nearby fruit plantation for a tour, and watch as a local climbs barefoot up a 75-foot (23-m) coconut tree to retrieve some of the fruit.

Enjoy a complimentary piña colada after a demonstration of how to make the famous drink using the meat of a fresh coconut, and then enjoy a country-style barbecue lunch before returning to your hotel.
