Experience the majesty of the American Southwest on a guided tour to the Grand Canyon's West Rim. With a drive through the lush Joshua-tree forest and stops at impressive Hoover Dam, Eagle Point, and Guano Point, this day trip awakens the nature lover in you.
From your hotel, board a luxury air-conditioned coach and shortly after make a stop to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Next, take a photo at Hoover Dam and capture the enormity of the 725-foot (220-m) tall and 1,245-feet (380-m) concrete feat of engineering.
Then sit back and observe the sight of a Joshua-tree forest amid the landscape of cacti and desert wildflowers. It's hard to miss the Joshua trees, which grow to heights of 45 feet (14 m) and often live for more than 900 years.
Your final stop is at the jaw-dropping approach to the Grand Canyon's West Rim. Take in the hues of deep orange, indigo, and muted yellow etched into the immense, 6-million-year-old rock formations. For a bonus viewing treat, hike to the top of Guano Point—the highest peak at the rim—and admire the Colorado River as it winds along the canyon floor.
After a day visiting some of America's biggest landmarks, hop back on to the coach for the return ride to your hotel.
