Description:
Board a small plane and trade Vegas lights for canyon color. After an aerial view of the Grand Canyon's endless desert, take a helicopter into its red, orange, and purple cliffs, and then boat up the river that formed this natural wonder.
From Boulder City, leave the city behind and be surrounded by the picturesque desert landscapes. A fixed-wing airplane takes you from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, giving you a bird's-eye view of the winding gorge before landing on the West Rim.
From there, a helicopter lowers you past rock layers that are millions of years old to the canyon floor. Look up to the sky you were just in for a sense of the earth-carving water you're about to float on. Then cruise via pontoon boat up the Colorado River, following the canyon's curvature and getting an up close view of the diverse nature and wildlife.
Another helicopter flight takes you back to the canyon lip, where you board a motor coach to Guano Point for a snack and picture taking. The old mine area has stretching views of the canyon and river, and it holds some history in its still-visible tram remnants.
