Description:
Escape from the city scene of Pokhara for the natural splendor of the surrounding villages. This guided day hike through Naudanda—literally translating to ‘’nine hills’’—combines spectacular vistas with a trek past rolling fields, rustic villages, and epic mountains.
Greet your local guide in the city, board your awaiting vehicle, and head for the hills of Naudanda. Drive by sprawling rice fields, see farmers crouched among brilliant blades of grass, and marvel at the imposing snow-capped Himalayas—home to the planet’s highest peaks and a mere 18 miles (30 km) away.
Upon arrival, walk along the meandering path, from one quaint village to the next, until you reach famed Sarangkot, a mountainside Nepalese village. Here, gaze over the glorious vantage point to Fewa Lake—distinguishable by its crystal clear waters, with the reflective Himalayas shimmering on its surface—and charming Pokhara beneath you.
Descend the hill to Sedi, and complete your adventure with a stroll around the tranquil waters of Fewa Lake, before returning to Pokhara.
