Description:
The bays near Rhodes have a lot to offer—from crystalline blue waters to diverse fish and reefs to explore. Enjoy a boat journey to picturesque Kalithea Bay to spend the day swimming in its warm waters, or choose to take part in a thrilling scuba dive that welcomes all levels of experience.
Drive toward Mandraki Harbour, the first commercial port on the island of Rhodes, in continual use since 408 BC. Your instructor and guide briefs you on the day's itinerary, giving you diving tips, must-dos, and underwater signaling instruction. All divers are also provided with wetsuits and diving equipment before you set sail to Kalithea Bay.
Once you arrive at the bay—if you select the diver ticket option—enjoy a 20-minute introduction to scuba diving. Then get used to breathing underwater through your regulator and dive down 20 feet (6 m) to explore the wonderful underwater world beneath you.
After the dive, it's time for both divers and non-divers (spectator option) to spend the rest of the day swimming in the bay's shallow waters. Keep an eye out for colorful fish, octopuses, or even barracudas; bask in the sun and take a break before making your way back to shore.
