Description:

Explore one of Rome's traditional neighborhoods—Trastevere—an area filled with an eclectic mix of history and the bustle of modern life. Wander through its labyrinth of cobbled streets, marvel at the spectacular 12th-century mosaics, and absorb the atmosphere of its trends and traditions.

Set off from Tiber Island and visit the Basilica of St. Bartholomew before strolling over Cestius Bridge and into Trastevere. Indulge in a local delicacy—grattachecca—handmade sorbet guaranteed to change the way you think about ice cream.

Arrive at the Basilica of Santa Cecilia, built where the Roman martyr Cecilia was laid to rest in the year 220. Legend has it she was exhumed over a thousand years later untouched by time.
