Description:

Known for its untouched beauty, Saona is a tropical island located a short distance from the mainland. Explore its rich ecological diversity and admire its natural wonders—all part of its national park nature reserve—on a full day of adventure.

Travel along the coastline aboard a speedboat until you arrive at the area known as Piscina Natural—enclosed water that is home to thousands of starfish. Take a refreshing swim in the warm, shallow, crystal clear waters and observe the marine life. Then have a drink from a floating bar.

Visit the sea turtle sanctuary at Mano Juan. Here, 4 species of sea turtles use the park's shores as nesting sites. Known as the richest in biodiversity throughout the Caribbean, Saona serves as a habitat for hundreds of species of plants, birds, reptiles, fish, and other marine animals. Also, an immense coral reef system resides in the offshore waters.

Following a delicious seaside lunch on Playa del Canto, take a stroll on the white sand or take a dip in the water before heading back to the pier as the sun sets.
