Description:

Start the morning at the top of Mt. Soledad with an outstanding, 360-degree view of San Diego and the surrounding countryside. After breathing in the air from the highest coastal peak within hundreds of miles, you take an inspiring bike ride down the mountain to the spectacular San Diego coastline.

Meander along the water and admire the premier landmarks on this 14-mile (22.5-km) bike ride. See the quaint and historic La Jolla village neighborhood, watch some of San Diego's famous surfing breaks, and witness the biological diversity of area marine life at the La Jolla tide pools.

As you pedal, watch the scenery pass, including the La Jolla Sea Caves as well as sweeping views from 100-foot (30.5-meter) bluffs that overlook the La Jolla Cove and Ecological Reserve. Get close with sea lions at the La Jolla Sea Lion Rookery, and visit with harbor seals at the Children's Pool.
