Leave Milan behind to explore San Pelligrino Terme’s sparkling mineral springs and wander the streets of charming villages set in the Alps’ scenic foothills. Discover Bergamo, Cornello dei Tasso, and breathtaking mountain landscapes as you tour the picturesque Lombardy region.
Start in Bergamo, a medieval city with a fascinating history. Follow your guide through its winding streets and explore the hilltop Città Alta (upper city), where you can enjoy splendid views across the plains and to the Alps.
Cross the stunning Bembrana Valley and stop for a light lunch of delicious local delicacies. Head to Cornello dei Tasso, considered one of the most charming villages in Italy. The old town still preserves its original medieval structure with stone arcades, porticos, and cobblestones streets.
Later, make your way to San Pellegrino Terme, a famous thermal spa resort. Admire the city’s Art Nouveau edifices, including the Casinò and and the Grand Hotel. Finish your day at the thermal buildings where the famous San Pellegrino mineral water—one of the first bottled naturally carbonated waters—has been sourced since 1395.
