Description:

Raft down the rapids of the longest river in the Dominican Republic, the Yaque del Norte River. Before and after rafting, indulge in breakfast and lunch chock full of local Dominican dishes.

From your hotel, take a comfortable bus ride to Jarabacoa, located in the Dominican Republic's mountain region. After eating breakfast at the Baiguate Ranch, head to the river and push off for your 2-hour rafting adventure.

As your raft splashes and bends down the river, you see why these exhilarating rapids are classified as class 3. In between dips and waves, admire the lush flora flanking the riverbanks. Each raft has an expert tour guide onboard to tell you about the area's scenery as well as coach you on paddling and steering through the rapids. Halfway through your trip, make a stop for cliff jumping and swimming in the refreshing river.

Once you are back on land, take a break at the Baiguate Ranch and have a tasty lunch. After your belly is full, drive through the Cibao region known for majestic mountains, valleys, and rustic villages as you make your way back to your hotel.
