Description:

Chihuly Garden and Glass displays and explores the inspirations and influences of Northwest artist Dale Chihuly. The exhibition includes 8 galleries, 3 drawing walls, a glasshouse, garden, and theater.

Stroll through the exhibition and be astounded by the glass displays from the hands and mind of Dale Chihuly. Exhibits inspired by Native American blankets, gardens, and the ocean each take on a life of their own. These glass sculptures are designed to mimic the patterns, animals, and flowers that inspired the artist.

Chihily's signature design, the exploding ball of glass tentacles, is on display here. You also have the opportunity to see the design process, as there are several walls with sketches of what will eventually become reality. The tour ends with visits to both the glasshouse (a greenhouse-like structure with stunning artwork hanging from the ceiling) and the garden (with glass pieces replicating the natural flora of a flower garden).
