Then, continue to the urban oasis of Cheonggyecheon Plaza—a serene respite amid the skyscrapers with its gurgling stream, stone bridges, and tumbling waterfalls.

Tap into the roots of the city with a walk through Jongno—one of Seoul's oldest thoroughfares—and hear about the area's cultural and financial importance from your local guide. Next, walk to the Bosingak Bell Pavilion, the spire of a 3.18m (12.5ft) tall bronze bell from the early Joseon period—if you’re lucky, you can catch the bell’s mighty toll at noon.
