Sample the flavors and history of Cambodia during a walking and cooking tour of Siem Reap. See how locals go about their day-to-day lives, learn about regionally grown produce, and find out how to prepare a traditional 3-course meal before eating it in a tropical garden.

Begin with convenient hotel pickup and be whisked to a local village. Your local guide explains the history of Siem Reap as you see other locals returning from the rice fields, perhaps with buffalo- and ox-led carts. Familiarize yourself with some of the many fruits and vegetables that are grown in this area and hear about their production.

After working up an appetite, follow your guide to the cooking venue, which houses an extensive herb garden. The chef introduces you to some local herbs before you collect a few to use in the evening's dishes. This class is very hands-on; at your own cooking station, listen to top tips from your experienced chef while you prepare a 3-course meal. Once your starter, main course, and desert are finished, work on presentation techniques and even prepare a Khmer cocktail or herbal tea.
