Steamboat boasts 165 runs over a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. Approximately 14% of the terrain is classified as beginner, 44% is intermediate, and 42% appeals to advanced skiers. Skiers and snowboarders are whisked from the base to the summit on 18 lifts, including a gondola, a high-speed 6 pack, and 5 high-speed quads.

With the top of Mt. Werner rising to an altitude of 10,568 feet (3,221 m), Steamboat sees more than 352 inches (8.9 m) of snowfall each year.
