Description:

Travel to the remarkable Valley of the Giants—an ageless living forest of giant Karri trees—and spend a full day in nature. Marvel at the enormous trees from above on the elevated Tree Top Walk and from below on the Ancient Empire Walk along the Red Tingle tree forest.

Depart from Perth and travel south, passing riverside suburbs and yacht clubs. As your scenic drive continues, see the market gardens and orchards of Donnybrook—home of the Granny Smith apple tree.

Then arrive at the Valley of the Giants Eco Park and take on the exciting Tree Top Walk. Hang on as you stroll an elevated steel walkway rising 144 feet (44 m) through the Tingle tree forest canopy. Break for a picnic lunch surrounded by refreshing forest air.

Continue on the Ancient Empire Walk down into the darkness of the Tingle tree forest and traverse pathways on the shaded forest floor. Some of the Tingle trees are over 49 feet (15 m) around at the base, and it is a fascinating experience to get up close to them.

On your return trip to Perth, visit the stunning coastline of William Bay, renowned for its windswept granite rocks.
