Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel and a short drive to the Yangmingshan National Park—the only park in Taiwan that offers both hot springs and volcanic terrain. The park is home to the Qixing Mountain, also known as the “Seven Star Mountain.” At 3,675 feet (1,120m), it's the highest peak in the Taipei area.

Breathe in fresh mountain air and take a walk to see crater lakes, sulfur fumaroles, and the lush greenery of the lava terrace. Don’t forget to look out for distinctive fauna, including hundreds of different species of birds and butterflies.

From here, it's a 1-hour drive to Yangming Park, where you stop at the volcano site and absorb the natural surroundings and the aroma of blossoming cherry trees during Spring. Continue on to the Beitou area and unravel at the hot-spring bath, popular with locals who need a little rest.
