Cruise through the calm and serene inlets of Clayoquot Sound in search of foraging black bears. Witness these fascinating mammals as they roam the beach at low tide searching for shellfish and food near the shoreline.

Emerging from hibernation with their newly born cubs, black bears traverse the beaches of charming Clayoquot Sound—part of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve—to find food for the coming winter. Observe mother bears and their cubs scavenge for rock crabs on the rugged beaches. These pristine shores often attract more than one family of bears at a time.

Watch these regal creatures from the comfort of either a 29-foot (9 m) open-air Zodiac vessel or the Stellar Sea, a 40-foot (12 m) covered cruiser, and take in the majestic beauty of the region before your return cruise to shore.
