Description:
See the sights and landscape that have been a part of Australian culture for millennia and helped capture the world's imagination on this 4-day tour. Visit the immense stone landmarks of Uluru and Kata Tjuta and get a new insight into the area's history as you journey into the heart of the Outback.
Day 1:
Enjoy the view of Uluru as the evening sky bathes the immense stone formation in the intense colors that have made it famous. After sunset, head to an exclusive barbecue site among the sand dunes and desert oak trees of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy local meats and salads with a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice as your guide explains Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars.
Day 2:
Get up early to visit the Uluru sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, and watch dawn set the Red Centre alight. After a tour around the base of Uluru, head to the charming Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can see Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area's long and complex history, and then visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn about the culture of the area's original inhabitants.
In the afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta and hear about the geological history of these giant domed conglomerate rocks. A walk in the valley between the massive rock formations lets you marvel at the unique flora and fauna that survived in this harsh environment. When you reach the Valley of the Winds Lookout, gaze out over the valley and enjoy a magnificent Outback sunset.
Day 3:
Take advantage of free time in the morning to explore the surroundings at your leisure, or just take a break and admire the scenery. In the early afternoon, depart for Kings Canyon Resort.
Day 4:
Start your day's activities with a visit to Kings Canyon. Once you arrive, you can choose either a guided climb to the canyon rim that offers marvelous views of Watarrka National Park, or an easier, shaded walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor. After a stop back at Kings Canyon Resort, head to Alice Springs as your tour comes to an end.

On each day you will travel with a different driver and guide and a different group of like-minded travellers.,
If you have a good level of fitness and weather conditions permit, you can choose to climb Uluru on Day 2 as an alternative to the Mutitjulu Walk and Cultural Centre visit.,
