Description:
Hop on board a scenic helicopter flight over Mount Aspiring National Park and experience a glacier landing on Mount Aspiring. Stand on a glacier at 7,000 feet (2,300 m) and enjoy a panoramic 360-degree view of the Southern Alps—a truly unique experience.
Your adventure begins at a landing site in Wanaka. Upon arrival, a attentive staff member briefs you and guides you to the helicopter. Hop on board, take off, and look out over the magnificent mountainous terrain of Mount Aspiring National Park. Take in breathtaking views of the mountains and fly through an extensive valley carved by glaciers thousands of years ago.
Then land on top of one of the glaciers and stand awestruck before the picture-perfect scenery of the Southern Alps. Breathe in fresh air and take photos of this stunning place. Back on board the helicopter, fly over more dramatic mountain ranges, and when your journey is complete, land safely back on the ground.
