Description:

Set off for the wild and woolly parts of Wellington, leaving the city limits behind to see a New Zealand Fur Seal colony and a working cattle station. Drive past the city's famous architectural landmarks before exploring the surrounding natural environment.

Depart from Wellington in an air-conditioned vehicle and head to Otari Wilton's Bush. This is New Zealand's only botanic gardens completely dedicated to Native Plants. After a short, easy stroll through the treetops we head to Tinakori lookout for spectacular views over Wellington City & Harbour.

Then it's out to the farm. Take this opportunity to snap some photographs of New Zealand's largest wind farm, where you're able to touch the gigantic turbines that harness wind to generate electricity. Then head to a family-owned Sheep & Beef farm that's also home to over 3,000 wild goats.

The pinnacle of your tour is the sight of a wild New Zealand Fur Seal colony. Watch as these massive creatures lie out on rugged Wellington rocks and play on the blustery coastline. Then travel back to Wellington, but not before a photo of one of the world's most remote lighthouses, the Leaning Lighthouse.
