Mrs. Jennifer Bassler Johnson
Best friend of the Bride since childhood. Jenni and Casey always say they have been best friends since before they were born. Their grandparents were neighbors, their parents went to high school together, and Jenni and Casey were in the same pre-K class together. Their teacher told the principal that they were too wild together, so they were banned from ever being in the same class again. Despite the separation, they continued to have play dates outside of school. They attended their first concert together (Boyz II Men), played on the same softball team, bonded over a shared love for Clarissa Explains It All, and lived together in college.

Mrs. Chelsea Scott Hunt
Best friend of the Bride from college. They met freshman year after pledging the same sorority and lived in the same building where they participated in activities such as raising baby chicks in the dorm rooms. They found they had similar passions: listening to Night Moves while getting ready for date parties together, enjoying frozen beverages at 747, lunch dates at Penny Hill and Mr. Goodcents, and long, late-night talks at Crossroads. After college they lived together in Dallas before Casey moved away for medical school but continued to remain close despite miles apart. Casey is godmother to one of Chelsea’s twin girls.

Mr. John Jeffrey Curtiss Simpsen
Brother of the Groom. John has always been an excellent role model for Mark growing up and inspired some of the passions he still has today, like his love for music and live concerts. Like most older brothers, John led by example. For instance, Mark grew up understanding that missing curfew was ok as long as he said he was just trying to get home safely, and that it was definitely not ok to walk in somewhere with a speeding ticket and be on time. John has continued to lead by example: marrying a beautiful, smart woman and raising two amazing children. Mark also learned from John’s shortcomings as well, as he decided not to wait seven years to ask a beautiful, smart woman to be his wife.

Dr. Thomas Edward Cooke
Best friend of the Groom since childhood. Mark and Tommy grew up together after their mothers met when they were pregnant. They have been by each other’s side for many major life events including running the student council in high school, their first OU/Texas weekend, first college party, first Coachella trip, and first night out in Kansas City. Mark and Tommy have spent many late nights discussing life, music, OU football, Thunder basketball, and how lucky they are to find amazing women to be by their sides. Mark has always thought of Tommy as a great role model, wise beyond his years. Mark is especially thankful Tommy was wise enough to become friends with Casey in residency, being the mutual friend that would allow them to meet.
