Once an important trading hub for Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthagians, the pleasant town of Portimão is a delight to visit. Ride a Segway in the shiny new marina, roll along the beach promenade of Praia da Rocha, and soak up the take a breaked atmosphere gazing out to the ocean from the old lighthouse.
