Get to know the wonderful world of Mediterranean cuisine; the herbs, the fresh vegetables, the choice meats that we always use and learn the basics on how to prepare a full Greek Sunday dinner with easy to follow recipes.
Not only will you visit one of the oldest and most popular “tavernas” in all of Athens, but you will also be initiated into Maria’s cooking secrets with easy instructions and plenty of “hands on” preparation and cooking. But the best of all is the sumptuous dinner that you will have with the rest of your “classmates” at the end of the lesson.
The venue is the warm and traditional Klimataria tavern, owned by Maria and Periklis, famous for years among local Athenians for its delicious home style cooking.
Maria will welcome you with a small glass of “raki” which is a twice distilled drink made from grapes and is the perfect “ice breaker” for the newly introduced and a great courage booster for all amateur cooks who are about to be initiated into the fascinating world of Maria’s delicious cooking
The hands on cooking course includes 4 starters and a main course. And the best part, after you have successfully prepared a meal fit for a king under the constant guidance of Maria, at the end of the course is enjoying the meal you have helped to prepare with a glass of wine.
