Enjoy a visit to 3 stunning towns in the British countryside just a short drive from London. After leaving the rush of the city, take a take a breaking stroll through a garden and admire castles on your trip to Rye, Hastings, and Sissinghurst.

Depart from Victoria Station in London and take a 2-hour drive to Rye, a small town with about 5,000 citizens. Walk around the narrow, weaving, and cobbled roads tangled between medieval citadels and admire the revered buildings such as Rye Castle (also known as Ypuresu Tower) as well as St. Mary's Church and the Mermaid Inn.

Next, trade the countryside for the coast as you travel to the port of Hastings. Famous for the historic Battle of Hastings between the French and the English in 1066, this town still contains castle ruins that reflect its warring past. With free time to get your own lunch, stroll through the Old Town and sit on the beachside benches to enjoy a delicious meal of fish and chips.
