Description:
Navigate the incredible rock formations of the Blue Mountains with a combination of abseils and climbs in the remarkable canyons of Katoomba. Negotiate cliffs that range between 16 and 100 feet high (5–30 m) and admire the setting of charming bush land for a scenic and exciting adventure.
Get started by rappelling down a few smaller jumps as your instructors explain each step and help you perfect your techniques. Work your way through a 50-foot (15-m) cliff before finishing off with a thrilling drop from twice the height.
After lunch, start the afternoon with a lesson in rock-climbing technique and take on several single-pitch climbs to hone your technique. Scale a few novice-attentive cliffs under the professional supervision of your instructors, who explain the finer techniques of climbing and show you how to climb efficiently for a true introduction into the vertical world of rock.
