Description:
Join a 2-day guided tour to the unspoiled jungle of Ulu Temburong National Park. Discover the diverse native flora and fauna, enjoy panoramic views of the rainforest on a canopy walk, and experience the Iban people's unique culture.
Day 1
After being picked up in the morning from your hotel, hop aboard a traditional water taxi at the jetty and head east toward the Temburong region, which is only accessible by river. Ride through the dense mangrove forest and upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, hike up Bukit Patoi for a majestic view of the surrounding countryside and stop by traditional longhouses, home to the indigenous Iban people. Return to the comfort of your lodge and enjoy a barbecue dinner before take a breaking the rest of the evening.
Day 2
After breakfast, travel upstream on a traditional longboat to reach Ulu Temburong National Park. Look out for exotic Borneo wildlife, such as hornbills and White Rajah butterflies. Next, climb up to the canopy walk, which is suspended 160 feet (50 m) above the forest floor and marvel at the stunning vistas surrounding you.
Relish a delicious Bruneian lunch by the riverside and take time to swim and take a break. If you choose the option, head out for an exhilarating rafting ride down the running rapids. Then return downstream to the lodge by longboat and freshen up with some afternoon tea before departing back to Bandar Seri Begawan.
