Glide through the streets of Sardinia’s breathtaking capital, snapping photos of medieval fortifications, investigating hidden alleys, and cruising past charming plazas atop a nimble Segway. Team up with a local guide and examine the stunning sights and landmarks of Cagliari’s waterfront and old town.
Get acquainted with your futuristic transportation amid the hustle and bustle of the city’s busy port. A brief lesson includes tips and techniques for performing graceful turns, controlled stops, and smooth starts on cobblestone lanes. When you’re ready, check that your helmet is on tight and zoom down thoroughfares lined with centuries-old buildings.
Visit the Public Gardens, where massive ficus trees have been growing for more than a century. Cruise beneath their shady branches as you move on to the medieval district. Admire the imposing ramparts of the Castello, built in the 13th century, and buzz around the stone fortifications that surround it while your guide shares stories about the many cultures who made claim to its stony walls. Continue the discussion as you break for a refreshing aperitivo on the terrace of a quaint café, surrounded by awe-inspiring edifices and Pisan towers.
