Immerse yourself in the Mayan civilization as you explore the mythical city of Chichén Itzá—one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World. In addition, spend time in the colonial town of Valladolid, visit the enchanting Cenote Zaci, and enjoy a Mexican buffet lunch on this cultural day trip.

Climb aboard the luxury bus at your hotel and head to one of the major archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula. Step off as you're greeted by the ancient ruins of the UNESCO-listed Chichén Itzá, evidence of a once thriving city in the Maya Empire from AD 750–1200. Marvel at the step pyramids, most notably the Temple of Kukulkan, with its 365 steps—one for each day of the year—and distinctive serpent sculptures.

Awe over the massive Temple of the Warriors, one of the most important structures at Chichén Itzá, fronted by 200 square columns, each carved with a depiction of a Toltec warrior. Make your way to the Great Ball Court and imagine the cheering cries from the crowd as players engaged in competitive games presided by their Mayan King.

Then continue to historic Valladolid—known for its charming architecture—and admire its picturesque streets lined with colorful façades of colonial homes.
