A sunset from Maui's famous crater Haleakalā, which sits about 10,000 feet (3,000 m) above sea level, is an amazing experience. Gazing up at the starry night sky with the latest telescopes and binoculars is one you're sure to remember.
Depart from your hotel and travel through Maui's Upcountry, sightseeing as you ride through pastureland and past native Hawaiian flora and fauna. Witness the rare silversword fern and possibly even local bird life. Then enter Haleakalā National Park, where the air is clean and crisp.
