Description:

Journey to the Colorado Springs area and visit the United States Air Force Academy and the Garden of the Gods. Then make an ascent up Pikes Peak in specially-equipped vehicles.

Start the day with a tour of the United States Air Force Academy, including a stop at the spectacular Cadet Chapel. From the academy, the driver heads for Colorado Springs, skirting the Rampart Range on the way. Then, enjoy a drive through the world-famous Garden of the Gods, featuring breathtaking red sandstone formations with whimsical names describing their fantastic shapes; the “Kissing Camels” is one of the most popular photo opportunities.

After lunch, board specially-equipped vehicles for the journey to the top of 14,110-foot (4300 m) Pikes Peak. From the mountaintop, you can see for hundreds of miles in all directions, so don't forget your camera.
